Year in Review 2025
Year in Review 2025
2025 was a year of unprecedented growth and investment in the future of Uniting AgeWell and the services we provide.
Uniting AgeWell continues to support the health and wellness of older Australians in Victoria and Tasmania.
In 2025, we invested in additional residential capacity to meet future aged care demand and opened new community hubs with AgeWell gyms, making it easier for people to connect with our home and community services.
Australian consumers voted us the most trusted brand for Home Care in Victoria and Tasmania. By the end of 2025, Uniting AgeWell became the 10th largest Home Care Package provider nationally.
The Ageing Ideal podcast
Season 2 now available
As we age, risk-taking becomes a conscious consideration. While caution often increases and those around us may encourage it, older adults still have the right to take risks.
Yet ignoring the challenges of ageing can have serious consequences. Finding the right balance is crucial, but it raises the question of who ultimately decides.
In this episode of The Ageing Ideal, host Jacinta Parsons explores the dignity of risk with gerontologist Professor Joseph Ibrahim and COTA CEO Pat Sparrow and speaks with elders about their approach to risk, autonomy and decision-making and why wrapping people in cotton wool is not the answer.
