Winter Warmer Masterclass at Amarco
With winter fast approaching, nutritious food and healthy eating become even more important among seniors to build up immune systems and prevent colds and flu.
On Friday, June 3, Uniting AgeWell’s Hotel Services Manager Victoria, Carlo Napoli, will host a Winter Warmer Masterclass in the main foyer of Amarco, giving guests and residents invaluable advice on preparing and cooking nutritious winter food.
The 23-year food industry veteran will give an interactive cooking demonstration at the independent retirement living complex’s Open Day in Kingsville from 11am-12:30pm.
Carlo will demonstrate how to make healthy, low cost, easy-to-make meals, such as Pumpkin Soup and Crepe Suzettes, with all guests given the opportunity to sample afterwards.
Guests will also have the opportunity to tour the Amarco Apartment complex from 1-2pm on the day.
All guests will automatically go in the draw to win a three course lunch for four at the Amarco dining room, prepared by Carlo.
Carlo is part of a line up of free community events at Amarco over the coming months, with funny lady Denise Drysdale set to drop in for morning tea on July 8.
