- Treat everyone with respect.
- Remain calm and avoid raising your voice. Don’t allow your anger to dictate the conversation.
- Focus on the specific request or concern.
- Aim for constructive and outcomes focused conversations.
- Consider the situation from other angles – this will help you focus on what is in your control. And what is not.
- Ask or decide on the best person to hear you out or help you.
- Help identify possible solutions and partner in the solution.
