Designed to meet an individual’s needs, Girrawheen’s flexible activities program includes centre-based pursuits, community outings, strength training, gentle exercise and carer support through respite.

We actively work with you to connect you to your passions and interests, while assisting you to maintain a healthy and happy lifestyle.

Each week day, the centre focuses on a different interest or group outing.

The Girrawheen Centre’s programs are available to people aged 65 years or older, as well as younger people with a disability who live in the local community:

  • who have dementia of the Alzheimer’s type, Lewy Bodies, vascular or similar causing memory loss or confusion;
  • whose carer requires respite due to stress or ill health;
  • who live alone and are assessed as being at risk; or
  • for carers and clients at risk of social isolation or depression
