On Tuesday 1 June, 2021 Andrew Kerr Care officially transitioned to Uniting AgeWell ownership and management.
This enables Uniting AgeWell to strengthen its support of older people on the Mornington Peninsula, while ensuring the legacy of Andrew Kerr Care continues for decades to come.
Uniting AgeWell is pleased to offer:
- residential care to be known as Uniting AgeWell, Andrew Kerr Community at the recent redevelopment of the Tanti avenue site
- home care through our Uniting AgeWell Andrew Kerr Home Care team, also based at the Andrew Kerr Care Community site; and
- respite and social connection programs through what will become known as the Andrew Kerr Care AgeWell Centre co-located at the Andrew Kerr Community site.
A new era
A new era begins with firm foundations of delivering care to the Mornington Peninsula for over 30 years.
Andrew Kerr Care began as a Presbyterian Manse in 1875 named Glenbank. Over time, Andrew Kerr Care has served the Mornington Peninsula community in many capacities including a children’s home, a day care centre for the aged and a 30-bed hostel. Andrew Kerr Care stands today proudly serving the Mornington Peninsula community with a range of services including Residential Aged Care, Respite Care, Home Care and Day Care.
