Access support, when you need it
- Uniting AgeWell Home Care support including cleaning, personal care, ironing and shopping may be provided, if requested. These services are available on a fee-for-service basis, or through a Federal Government-funded Home Care Package
- When the time comes, Uniting AgeWell makes the sometimes difficult process of moving into residential aged care seamless
- Priority is given to Uniting AgeWell independent retirement living residents when transitioning to one of our residential aged care facilities
I like the peace and quiet at Valkstone. There are only 16 people here and most of us keep to ourselves but we get on very well.
We’re all here if someone has an emergency and a few of us go out for Christmas lunch or celebrations from time to time. Being in Bentleigh is fantastic because it’s a walk down to Woolworths and the shopping centre, which has a Post Office. We’re also within walking distance of the doctor, podiatry, specialists and everything else you need. Despite being on Centre Road it feels like living in a suburban street – that’s because we have a lawn and gardens in the middle with the flats around it.
